Obituary for Megan Bruno

Megan Bruno, 32 of Liverpool NY passed away on August 30, 2022. She leaves behind her loving partner and soul mate Sean Nicholson, their beautiful daughter Aurelia Avalon Nicholson and her four-legged best friend Lucy. Born in Reading, Pa she was the daughter of Anthony J. (Tina) Bruno and Sharon A. (Kenneth) Sweigert and daughter of the heart to William and Robin Nicholson. Megan graduated from Wilson High School, West Lawn, Pa. and Millersville University, Lancaster, Pa She was the Faculty Affairs Specialist, Office of Academic Affair at Syracuse University, Syracuse NY.

Megan was a bright light to everyone she met, with her luminous smile and unique style, she created beautiful artwork and culinary feast for all her family and friends. She had a passion for books and the outdoors as well. Her love for family, friends and her puppies was palpable.

She is survived by her Grandmother Helen Bruno, brother Joseph A. Bruno, stepbrothers Jeremy Grab and Steven (Kristen) Sweigert, stepsisters Holly (Travis) Pennypacker and Amanda J. Sweigert. She adored her nieces and nephews Dominic Mendez-Grab, Cameron and Cali Pennypacker, and Charlie and Kennedy Sweigert. She will also be in the hearts of all her many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends and pre-deceased by her grandparents, Joseph Bruno, John and Elizabeth Ruppert.

There will be two celebrations of life; the first held at 10:00 AM Saturday September 17th at Baltimore Woods, Marcellus, NY with a short service and reception to follow. A second celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday September 24that the Slovak Catholic Sokols, Reading Pa.

The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations may be made for living and educational expenses for Megan and Sean’s daughter, Aurelia. Donation should be sent c/o Sean Nicholson P.O. Box 171, Mattydale, NY 13211.
