Obituary for Mildred E. Hart (Hoyer)

Mildred E. (Hoyer) Hart, 92, of Wyomissing, entered into eternal rest on February 5, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Kenneth C. Hart for 64 years.

Born on April 9, 1928, in Baumstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late William I. Hoyer and Blanche I. (Piersol) Hoyer.

After high school, Mildred attended Practical Nursing School, Reading, and graduated in 1958. She was a licensed practical nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital and Community General Hospital. She retired in 1985.

Mildred (Millie) was physically active her whole life. She and Ken were members of the Pagoda Ramblers Camping Club and enjoyed travel, golf, biking, round dancing and square dancing. Her love for music and singing continued into her senior years as a proud member of the Berks Encore Senior Chorus. Millie and Ken also traveled extensively to sporting events involving their four grandchildren.

Millie was a member of Immanuel UCC, Shillington, and a former member of Christ UCC in Temple where she and Ken were active participants in many church activities.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice E. (Hart) Schreiner, widow of Ronald J. Schreiner, and her son, John W. Hart, husband of Donna (Benevit) Hart.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kim E. Schreiner Makosch, wife of Christopher, Wyomissing; Wendy L. (Schreiner) Stender, wife of Dakota, Hancock, VT; Shaun Hart, husband of Jessica, Sinking Spring; and Jason Hart, husband of Kathleen, Sinking Spring.

Millie was also blessed with 12 great-grandchildren: Eric and Lauren Makosch; Virginia and Crew Stender; Zara, Siena and Ella Hart; and Grace, Elaina and Caroline, James and Cecilia Hart.
