Obituary for Patricia A. Smith (Niemczyk)

Patricia A. (Niemczyk) Smith, 62, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 24, 2021, in her Muhlenberg Township home, surrounded by her loving family, following a 13-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Affectionately known as “Queen Patty,” she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Janice (Frantz) Niemczyk, and the loving wife of Kevin M. Smith.

Patty had an incredible zest for life, and it showed in everything she did. From the fragrance counter where she worked at Boscov’s, to the many beach trips she took with her family and close friends, Patty was always the life of the party. The consummate “Social Butterfly,” she loved making friends wherever she went, and to know her for just a moment, you were her friend for life. She especially loved the summertime, and spent many hours laughing on the beach and by the pool. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband, Patty is survived by their two daughters who she greatly cherished: Lauren, wife of Stephen Kirby, Sinking Spring, and Taryn, girlfriend of Gerard Burns, Reading; as well as her brother Ted Niemczyk, husband of Debra Goodman, sisters Marylee Fontana, wife of Paul, and Diana Wilson, wife of Oliver, and her precious “cuddledog” Coral.
