Obituary for Peter P. Spirelis
Peter P. Spirelis, 95, passed away at Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Tuesday, December 1, 2020.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Paul and Irene Spirelis and the loving husband of the late Nicole F. Spirelis (Turpin).
He graduated from Reading High School and entered the service during World War II as a member of the U.S. Army.
After his time in the service, Peter worked as a manager at Conrail until his retirement.
Peter was an avid golfer into his early 80s and was a sports fan his whole life. He also loved to go to casinos and try his luck at scratch off lottery tickets. Above all else, Peter loved his family dearly and will be remembered as a kind-hearted, humorous man.
He was predeceased by his siblings: Gust, James, Theodore, Victoria, Esther, and Mae.
Peter is survived by his step-daughter, Christine Ghelfi and her husband Tony Ghelfi, his step-son David Gehris and his wife Roni, his grandchildren, Jack, Katie, and Leah Gehris, and numerous nieces and nephews.
