Obituary for R. Ann Zimmerman
R. Ann (Organtini) Zimmerman, 91, formerly of West Lawn, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Phoebe Berks. She was the wife of the late Carrol J. "Zimmy" Zimmerman. They shared 67 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Birdsboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Heimiller) Organtini. Ann graduated from Reading High School in 1948 and went on to do secretarial work before devoting her life to caring for her family. Later in life, Ann spent her time volunteering to assist people with developmental disabilities.
Ann was a member of St. John’s Reformed Church in Sinking Spring.
Survivors include her daughter, Caryl A. Zimmerman of Sinking Spring, PA and brother Thomas Organtini of Myerstown, PA.
In addition to her beloved husband, Zimmy, Ann was predeceased by her son, Craig A. Zimmerman, brothers, John and Joseph Organtini, and sisters, Betty Canto and Rose Hare.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
