Obituary for Ralph L. Trump
Ralph L. Trump, 98, formerly of Tilden Twp., passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019, surrounded by his daughters.
He was the loving husband of Luella A. (Berger) Trump, who died December 14, 2017. They were married for 67 years.
Born in Tilden Township, he was the son of the late James and Agnes (Loose) Trump.
Ralph was a 1940 graduate of Hamburg High School.
He was employed as a shipping clerk at Hamburg Broom Works for over 40 years. It was there that he met his wife Luella.
Ralph was a member of Salem Berne United Methodist Church, Tilden Twp. He was very active in the Senior group and enjoyed landscaping at the church for many years.
He was a member of Odd Fellows and Hamburg and Shartlesville Fire Companies. Ralph loved hunting and did so well into his 80's.
Ralph is survived by two daughters: Sharon L., wife of Philip Geschwindt, Hamburg; Catherine K. Trump, companion of Ken Martin, Oley; five grandchildren; Daren P., husband of Ann M. Geschwindt, Hamburg; Christina A., wife of Randy Nunemacher, Hamburg; Jamie L., husband of Kelli L. Geschwindt, Blandon; Rusty J., spouse of Andy Tran, Portland, Oregon; Dominic E., husband of Courtney Trump, Jacksonville, NC; and a step-grandson Adam J., husband of Kristina Herrmann, Sulphur Springs, TX. Seven great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren and a sister, Grace Schrepple, Tilden Twp., also survive him.
He was predeceased by six siblings: Emerson Trump, Anna Hoppes, John Trump, Wilson Trump, Norman Trump, and Sara Fenstermaker.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2018, at 11 a.m., at Salem Berne United Methodist Church, 292 Salem Church Road, Hamburg, PA. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
