Richard E. Stubblebine, 79, of Myerstown, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, in the care of Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was a resident at StoneRidge Poplar Run. Richard was the loving husband of Patricia A. (Powers) Stubblebine, with whom he shared 56 years. Born in Reading to the late Harry and Erma Stubblebine, he graduated from Reading High School and Penn State University.
Richard realized a long-time dream of owning his own business when he co-founded M&S Construction in 1972. He later became sole owner of the company. He enjoyed 40 years as an owner/operator and was blessed to truly love his work. He previously worked in the engineering departments at Gilbert Associates and Air Products.
Richard was a member of Community Evangelical Church, where he had many close friends. He was formerly a proud member of the West Reading Cadets, now known as the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps.
He enjoyed family vacations on the beaches of Long Beach Island for many years as well as camping trips through the New England States, iconic national parks, and historic sites in the Northwest.
Richard’s memory will be treasured by his wife, Patricia; their children, Kristen Stubblebine (Mark Benner) of Reading, and R. Michael Stubblebine (Danielle) of Cornwall, as well as his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters: Jean Miller, Barbara Baker, and Joan Mack.
