Obituary for Robert E Edleman

Robert E. Edleman, 94, formerly of Cherry Lane, Pottstown, recently of Amity Place, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. He was the loving husband of the late Mary Ann (Bachmurski) Edleman.

Born in Royersford, on August 5, 1928, Robert was a son of the late Clarence R. and Edna (Hunsicker) Edleman

Robert enjoyed all sports, lettering in 3 sports in High School. His favorite was baseball. He was invited by the St. Louis Cardinals to join their farm team out of High School, but did not go due to family obligations. He was very active in local little league, coaching, umpiring and taking care of the fields for the Town Toy organization. Bob also was a bowler for many years bowling on a team with all of his brothers.

Robert, is survived by three children: David Edleman and his wife, Carol Berger of Schwenksville, Linda (Edleman) Royer and her husband, Ricky of Pottstown and Kathleen (Edleman) Hospador, and her husband Gerry of Colorado; a brother Henry Edleman (husband of the late Joanne); four grandchildren: Andrew Hospador, Abby Hospador, Rebecca (Royer) Messinger and her husband, Aaron Messinger and Matthew Royer; two great grandchildren, Cole Messinger and Ava Messinger.

Along with Roberts’s parents and wife he is predeceased by his precious great granddaughter, Stella Grace Messinger and siblings: Clarence R. Edleman Jr, Paul Edleman, Mary Perna, Ronald Edleman, Edna Pollock and Dorothy Scherer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday January 13, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Teresa of Calcutta Church. A visitation for friends and family will be at the Church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to Mass.

Burial will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery.
