Obituary for Roger V. Riccardi

Roger V. Riccardi, a dedicated father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at Halifax Health Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida, surrounded by his most cherished loved ones on July 21, 2023. A good human being at heart, Roger was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him and touched countless lives with his kindness and generosity.

Born in 1944, in Newark, New Jersey, Roger was the beloved son of Paul and Nancy Riccardi. He was a bright student and graduated from Wilson High School in 1962. He continued his education at Elizabethtown College and graduated in 1966, shaping a foundation for a successful and meaningful life ahead.

Shortly after graduating college, Roger married Linda Lee Lewis. Their union brought forth the joys of family life, and they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Suzanne E. Riccardi and Lisa L. Roger began his career as a caseworker for the State of Pennsylvania, where he dedicated himself to helping others. He was compassionate and understanding, making a positive impact on the lives of those he encountered. Later, he found success at AT&T/Lucent Technologies, where he worked diligently until his well-deserved retirement at the age of 50.

A man of simple pleasures, Roger had a profound love for the beach. In 2004, he followed his heart to Daytona Beach, Florida, and there he found joy in the sun, sea, and sand. Embracing his love for animals, he surrounded himself with many pets and enjoyed many wonderful years with his dear friend, Steve Pastula.

Being a father and grandfather was a role that came naturally to Roger. He cherished every moment spent with his two daughters, his two sons-in-law, and his grandson. His family was the light of his life, and he ensured that they always felt loved and supported.

Roger's memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His kind and selfless nature will continue to inspire those who knew him to be better human beings. The beloved Roger Riccardi, is survived by his daughter Suzanne Forcucci and her husband Jim Forcucci of Delray Beach Florida, his daughter Lisa Woessner and her husband Troy Woessner of Sinking Spring Pennsylvania, and his grandson Joshua Woessner.
