Obituary for Santiago Rivera Maldonado
Santiago Rivera Maldonado, 80, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, in his Wyomissing residence. Born in Humacao, PR, to the late Andres Rivera Rodriguez and Juana Maldonado Audifred, Santiago was one of ten children.
A self-employed electrician, Santiago was able to retire early to enjoy the time he had with his family. Santiago was always a loving father and much preferred to be with his family over anyone else. His presence will be much missed.
He enjoyed watching sports, but he enjoyed baseball especially.
Left to treasure his memory are his daughters: Elizabeth Rivera Cruz of Yabucoa, PR; Evelin Rivera Cruz of Wyomissing, with whom he resided; and Diana Rivera Cruz of Mohnton; his grandchildren: Johnel Vazquez; Yashira V. Throne, wife of Kevin Trone; Jean Carlos Sepulveda; Talisha B. Torres; Anais Vazquez; and Ricardo A. Ramos; and his great-grandchildren: Makayla V. Trone and Alexander M. Trone. He is also survived by his siblings Carmen, Obdulio, Juana, and Felipe, and by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Santiago was predeceased by his former wife, Ana Cruz Diaz, and by his siblings, Dionisio, Valeria, Mario, Pablo, and Andres Jr.
