Obituary for Sarah Jane Rickert (Dorman)
Sarah Jane Rickert, 63, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. She was the beloved wife of Christopher Rickert, with whom she shared 38 years.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Eleanore (Steffy) Dorman. She wore many hats during her working career, and for more than 25 years; she was a consultant for Mary Kay. Sarah was a spontaneous and loving spirit who enjoyed singing, being outdoors, swimming, water skiing, snow skiing, and just spending time on the river. She was also a devoted member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Reading.
Left to treasure her memory are husband, Chris; sons: Adam Rickert (Kambria Carlson) of Pottstown and Nathanael Rickert of Wernersville; brothers: Charles Dorman of Reading, William Dorman (Jeanine) of Centre Township, Augustus Dorman of Reading, and Benjamin Dorman (Lori Long) of Reading; sisters: Karla Parise of Leesport and Susan Dorman of Reading; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 100 West Windsor Street, Reading, PA 19601. Friends and family are invited to gather at the church from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Episcopal Church at P.O. Box 13685, Reading, PA 19612-3685.
