Obituary for Sharon Ann Busch

Sharon A. Busch, 68, passed away in the early hours of Monday, January 18, 2021 in the care of Reading Hospital. She was the loving wife of Roy McCutcheon, whom she married on October 22, 2011. Born in Reading, Sharon was a daughter of the late Charles G. and May (Stout) Busch.

Graduating from Governor Mifflin High School in 1970, Sharon held various jobs over the years. She once gained fame as a female gas station attendant—something quite unusual for the 70’s. Sharon previously worked as a waitress at various local restaurants. Her later years were dedicated to caring for her mother.

Sharon was a very affectionate woman with a great sense of humor. She always did more for others than she did herself. She loved music, especially 80’s hair metal, and was never afraid to sing along.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Roy, her son Justin C. (Katie) Busch of Pottstown, step children Amy L. (Erich) Ferg of Hallam and David A. McCutchen of Hallam, grandchildren Kylie and Jacob Busch, step grandchildren Jacob Ferg and Adam and Jane McCutchen, sister Linda J. (David) DeLapp of Shapleigh, ME, niece Amber DeLapp, nephew Jason DeLapp, and uncle Conrad “Sonny” Stout, widower of Ruth “Mae” Stout.

Contributions in Sharon’s memory may be offered to Abilities in Motion, 210 N 5th St, Reading, PA 19601, or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116.
