Obituary for Susan Daphne Kurtz
Susan Daphne Kurtz, 42, of Reading, passed away on March 3, 2022, at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born in West Reading, PA, she was the daughter of Dean P. and Donna (Roche) Kurtz.
She was a graduate of Wilson High School in 1998 and Central Michigan University in 2002.
Susan enjoyed working at Mission Screen Printing as a graphic designer.
She loved to follow motorsports and going to race events at Daytona International Speedway. She recently attended the 2022 Daytona 500.
Susan loved running; she ran the NYC Marathon and over 70 half marathons and also ran for team RWB. Susan had a passion for adventure. She enjoyed skydiving, rock climbing, running on the beach, and traveling to some of her favorite places including the American Southwest, Alaska, Caribbean, France, China, Egypt and Venice.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and scrapbooking.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three aunts, Michelle, wife of Jay McElhenny, Alma Groff and Diane Kurtz and her uncle, Robin, husband of Patti Roche, Several cousins; and her beloved pug dog Sprout.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Ave., West Reading., Burial will be at Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach, FL.
