Obituary for Thomas D. Delcamp

Thomas D. Delcamp, 66, passed away suddenly the afternoon of Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in the care of Ephrate Hospital. He was the loving husband of Carol (Shoemaker). Born in Reading, he was the son of the late William and Catherine Delcamp (Gephart) Delcamp.

Thomas graduated as part of the first class from the Culinary Institute of Hyde Park. A passionate chef, Thomas worked at several area restaurants, including the Sweet Bay Café which he owned for 11 years with his wife, Carol. He was last employed by the Walnut Hills School of Culinary Arts. He was Vice-President of the Institutes Board and was responsible for the development of many creative outreach programs. He enjoyed volunteering as a fill-in instructor.

In addition to his passion as a chef, Thomas adored animals and enjoyed gardening.

In addition to his wife, Thomas is survived by his sister Barbara Delcamp and brother Werner Delcamp.
