Thomas I. Fisher, 82, widower of Dorothy (Kuntzleman) Fisher and companion of Dorothy “Shag” DeMas of South Hanover Street, North Coventry Township, died Sunday at Manor Care, Pottstown, PA. Born in Pottstown, PA he was the son of the late Paul and Pearl (Guest) Fisher. Tom was a Tae Kwon-Do 7th Degree Master Instructor who operated Kong’s Tae Kwon-Do School from his residence for over forty years. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Surviving with his companion is a son Jeffrey T. Fisher and his companion Judith Hofbauer of Pottstown, PA and a daughter Karen A. McAfee of Elverson, PA . Also, three step-children Penny Schwager, Michelle Morgan and Lisa Updegrove. He is also survived by eight grandchildren Nathan Kearns, Jon McAfee, Emily McAfee, Kalynn McAfee, Shannon Cahill, Brock Morgan, Ernest Updegrove III and David Fisher. Also, three great-grandchildren Logan Cahill, Nolan Kearns and Kayden McAfee. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday evening July 26, 2013 at 7 P.M. from Warker-Troutman funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA with the Rev. Larry Frank, pastor of Harmony Methodist Church in Morgantown, PA officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-7 P.M. at the funeral home. A memorial luncheon will be Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Noon at the Knights of Columbus Social Hall, 675 Constitution Avenue, Pottstown, PA 19464.
