Obituary for Troy Allen Rickenbach

Troy Allen Rickenbach, 37, of West Reading, died tragically and unexpectedly on August 6, 2022, in Morgantown, PA.

Born in Reading, he was the son of John J. Rickenbach, West Reading and Cathy Rickenbach-Lightcap, wife of Kevin “Andy” Lightcap, Hamburg.

He was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

Troy was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. He enjoyed playing baseball and football with his street friends. He also loved dancing and acting; his contagious smile and sense of humor radiated every time he walked in a room. One of his favorite greetings was “Hello Mate."

He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and father who adored his children and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by four siblings: Tonya Rickenbach-Yambo, wife of Ralph Yambo; Johnny Rickenbach; twin brother, Jason Rickenbach, companion of Lisa Mercado; and Jared Rickenbach; his children’s mother, Melissa Figueroa; three children: Aviana M. Rickenbach, Miriam C. Rickenbach, Lorenzo Rickenbach; one stepson, William Gonzales; and 14 nieces and nephews: Jay Jay Rickenbach, Jayla Rickenbach, Kayla Rickenbach, Janiel Rickenbach, Janesa Torres, Angelica Torres, Jazmari Torres, Jonathan Torres, Jalyssa Rickenbach, Matthew Rickenbach, Aidalynn Rickenbach, Jordan Reyes, Janai Cintron, Jayvin Yambo, and Jaleah Yambo.

A Celebration of Life Services will be held Friday, August 19, 2022, at 7 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. A viewing will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Edward J.
