Obituary for Wayne S. Johnson

Wayne S. Johnson, 73, of West Reading, passed away April 7, 2021, in the Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Walter S. and Marian C. (Jones) Johnson.

Wayne was a self-employed painter.

He will be remembered for many things: love of animals; friendly personality, caring nature and helping people. He also enjoyed roller-skating and sharing his knowledge and passion for German History with his family and friends.

He is survived by three children: Dwayne Johnson, Shawn Johnson and Holly Johnson; two siblings: Marilyn Johnson and Shelly, wife of John Heffner; one grandson, Joshua; one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was predeceased by his son, Scott Johnson; two half-brothers and three half-sisters.

Services will be Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading with burial to follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508. Condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.

So sorry, I missed the memorial - had to go to the hospital on the 13th. I'm saddened by Wayne's passing and wish I could have seen him once the pandemic was over. Wayne had a good heart and really loved his Baron & Sammy. R.I. P. Wayne!
