Obituary for Herbert Russell Yoder

Herbert Russell Yoder, 77, passed away October 11, 2014 in his Muhlenberg Township home.

He was the husband of Joan Reba (Snyder) Yoder, whom he married 55 years ago on January 10, 1959.

Born March 26, 1937 in Alsace Township, he was a son of the late Lewis and Beulah (Conrad) Yoder.

Herb was raised and educated in the Muhlenberg School District.

He worked for Exide, formerly Bowers Battery, then General Battery and Ceramics, retiring in 2000.

Herb enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the races, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his two daughters, Brenda, wife of Thomas Landis, Oley; and Cindy, wife of Timothy Clauser, Reading. Also surviving are his brother, Frank Yoder, Oley; his two grandchildren: Michael Landis and Amanda Landis; and several nieces and nephews.

Herb was predeceased by a son, a granddaughter, five brothers, and three sisters.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Berks County or Heartland Home Health Care of Wyomissing.
