Theodore B. “Bud” Johnson Jr., 65, of Bern Township passed July 10, 2016 in the Reading Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Sharon L. (Ulsamer) Johnson, with whom he shared 44 years of wedded bliss.

Born in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Theodore B. Sr., and Patricia A. (Bressler) Johnson.

Bud was a 1968 graduate of Lock Haven High School and also attended Elizabethtown University.

He was a U. S. Airforce Veteran serving during Vietnam War.

Bud was employed by Reading Airport as an Air traffic controller for 29 years and 12 years as air traffic manager until retiring in 2015.

He was an avid golfer. Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the beach, boating along the Susquehanna and being in the outdoors. His true love was spending time with his loving wife and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Nicole A. “Nikki”, wife of Jon D. Fulton, Jonestown, and Heath A., husband of Rachel Johnson, Temple. He is also survived by his brother, Stephen S., husband of Mary Johnson, Slidell, LA.; grandchildren, Kaylee N. Fulton and Ella G. Johnson, and niece and nephew, Tina J. Salcido and Shad S. Johnson and many other nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
