Laura I Faraone, 99, of Sinking Spring passed away February 15, 2017 in the Reading Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of the late Louis A. Faraone Sr., with whom celebrated 67 years of marriage.

Born in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria Russo.

Laura was a long time member of St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

She was a loving housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family and friends will always remember her for her sweet spirit and the great prayer warrior Laura was.

Laura enjoyed cooking and baking Italian food with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children, Louis A. Jr., husband of Margaret Faraone, North Carolina; Anna M. Arnholt, Wyomissing; Lucy A. Miceli, West Lawn; Caroline M., wife of Dr. James A. Walter, Sinking Spring; and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 11:30 am in the St. Ignatius R.C. Church with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 am in the church. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
