Victor M.  Jacobs, Jr.
Victor M. Jacobs, Jr., 83 of Wyomissing, died April 20, 2017, in the Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Kathleen M. Jacobs. They married on June 29, 1967.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Victor and Beatrice (Blank) Jacobs.

He was a graduate of Olney High School, Philadelphia and Philadelphia Wireless Technical School.

Victor was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1953-1955.

He was employed by Hagen- Renaker Company.

Victor was a member of the Flying Dutchman Ski Club and the Jewish Community Center.

He will be remembered for many things: coaching in Wyomissing Soccer Club; going to his grandchildren’s sporting events; Wyomissing Area High School football games; and being one of the first ski instructors at Elk Mountain.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Victor M. “Monte”, husband of Kathleen M. Jacobs, West Lawn and Betsy, wife of Joel Dries, Wyomissing; his sister, Helen, wife of Michael Goetz, Philadelphia and four grandchildren: David Dries, Kylie Dries, Giavanna Jacobs and Cecily Jacobs.

A memorial service will be Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 6 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Thursday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jewish Community Center, 1100 Berkshire Blvd # 125, Wyomissing, PA 19610 or the Wyomissing Soccer Club, P.O. Box 5791 Wyomissing, PA 19610.
