Thomas J.  Heckman
Thomas J. Heckman, 64, formerly of St. Lawrence, passed away after a battle with cancer in his dream place of Florida on August 11, 2017.

He was the beloved husband of 33 years to Sandra S. (Benjamin) Heckman, whom he married in 1984.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late James and Arlene (Hartranft) Heckman.

Thomas was a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he was a proud member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He also attended Albright College and Reading Area Community College.

He was employed by Wilmington Professional Associates as a Software Engineer/Analyst.

Thomas enjoyed fishing. He was an avid Philadelphia sports teams fan. What mattered most to Thomas, was his family and loved spending time with them. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Patrick Joseph, husband of Annette Santoro, Robesonia; and Philip Louis Santoro Jr., New Port Richey, FL; three grandchildren: Chelsea, Tylor, and Dominic; one great-grandchild: Jordan; two brothers: James H. Jr., husband of Katie Heckman, and Steve A., husband of Melody Heckman; nephews: Matthew Heckman, Andrew Heckman, and Jamie, husband of Aaron Rimby; one grand-niece, Violet, and his beloved canine companions, Winnie and Luckie.

He was predeceased by one great-grandchild: Luka

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017, in Pleasant View Cemetery, 650 Fritztown Road, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, is entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
