Obituary for Greta Dawn Clemens (Bricker)

Greta Dawn  Clemens (Bricker)
Greta D. Clemens, 84, of Wyomissing, passed away October 17, 2017 in the Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Clair and Anna (Kissinger) Bricker.

Greta was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School. She worked briefly at Met-Ed until she moved upon her marriage. Greta was a homemaker and loving mother to her three children.She took great pride in her children’s accomplishments. Greta was a very active memberof the Wyomissing Church of the Brethren; involved in many activities including Thursday night children’s choir, Chancel choir, Pinochle Club, Gourmet Club, and office helper. She served as financial secretary of the church for many years. She was an avid jigsaw puzzle solver, bowler, crocheter, game and true crime show viewer, and crossword puzzles. Greta loved to spend time with her family and her "Crazy Card Club" ladies.

She is survived by her estranged husband Philip R Clemens, Lancaster; her children, Bruce R. Clemens, husband of Diane, Essex Junction, VT; Kenneth L. Clemens, husband of Nancy, Fredericksburg, VA; and Sharon D. Harris, wife of Patrick, Wyomissing. Greta is also survived by her four siblings, Marian Royer, Doris Fix, June Dobson and Ruth DeStasio; six grandchildren, Tracy L. Whyte, wife of Andrew, Timothy R. Clemens, Elizabeth L. Spangler, wife of Cody, Kaitlyn D. Remnant, wife of Kyle, Christopher L. Clemens, and James P. Harris; and great-granddaughter, Valerie Whyte. Greta was predeceased by her brother, Gary Bricker.

Service will be held Monday, October 23, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Wyomissing Church of the Brethren, 2200 State Hill Rd, Wyomissing, PA 19610, with burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Sunday, October 22, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading and one hour before the service in the church.
