Lucian S.  Leach
Lucian (Smith) Leach, 85, formerly of Wyomissing Hills, died Monday, January 1 at Mifflin Center, Shillington. She was the wife of the late Clayton E. Leach, who died October 23, 2009. Born in Sunbury, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clyde M. and Audrey V. (Zimmerman) Smith.

She was a 1954 graduate of Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, PA, and spent her early career as a librarian before raising her family. She was a member of Advent Lutheran Church for 55 years where she sang in the choir and served on congregation council and the worship & music committee. She loved reading, playing pinochle, and caring for her pets.

She is survived by her son, Clayton E. Leach III and his wife Leslie K.; her daughter Suzanne (Leach) Wagner, wife of Terry S. Wagner; her grandsons Benjamin P. Magrowski and Max N. Magrowski; and her beloved granddogs Chester, Bentley and Woolrich.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 6 at 11 a.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 16 Telford Ave, West Lawn, PA, with Rev. Mark R. Rigg officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the church. Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc, West Reading, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at Advent Lutheran Church, at the address above.
