Obituary for Hilda Velazquez
Hilda Velazquez, 56, died March 6, 2018, in her Reading residence.
She was the wife of Mario Blanco for 22 years.
Born in Michoacan, Mexico, she was a daughter of Samuel Velazquez and Rebeca Rosales and settled in PA in 1986.
She was a loving mother, loyal wife and grateful for her family. Hilda will be remembered for her great sense of humor that always made people laugh.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her daughter, Erika Velazquez, who resides at home; two step-children, Karen Blanco and Hugo Blanco. Eight siblings: Dioselina, Estela, Amparo, Rosalia, Arcelia, Celia, Armando and Victor; and four grandchildren: Yariseli Marie, Carlos Hugo, Juan Romeo and Royce Alexander Olivares also survive her.
She was predeceased by her son, Hugo Velazquez.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday March 9, 2018, at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 1018 N. Eighth St. Reading, PA 19604. A visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading and Friday from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church.
