Obituary for W. Keith Kelly
W. Keith Kelly, 63, of Mertztown, P.A. passed away on March 12, 2018 in his home. He was the beloved son of the late William C. Kelly and Elizabeth Blemker Kelly.
Keith was a graduate of Daniel Boone High School, class of 1972, and Kutztown State College, class of 1979. He was retired from a career as a special education teacher for the Boyertown School District.
Keith loved anything with a motor- American muscle cars (from his first Camaro to his bright yellow Corvette), Jeeps, snowmobiles, tractors, even lawn mowers. His true passion, however, was boating. He spent much of his free time on the Chesapeake Bay in one of several different boats he owned over the years. When at home in Mertztown, he frequented the Kutztown Fire Company and was particularly fond of Taco Tuesday and Thursday Wing Night.
He is survived by his sons Ryan K. Kelly of Bethlehem, PA, and Erik M. Kelly, husband of Ali N., of Boston, MA. Keith will be remembered and missed for his kindness, sense of humor, and generosity.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11:00am at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 357 West Main Street, Kutztown, PA 19530. A calling hour will begin at 10:00am in the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
