Obituary for Geraldine R. Tennerella
Geraldine "Geri" R. Tennerella, 87, formerly of West Reading, passed away on April 10, 2018, in Columbia Cottage of Wyomissing.
Born on April 3, 1931, in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Magdaline "Ann" (Stralo) Tennerella . She is also predeceased by two sisters and a brother.
Geri graduated from Reading High School in 1948.
She was employed as an insurance underwriter for CNA Insurance Co. for 41 years before retiring in February of 1991.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church of Reading. She was also a member of Sons of Italy.
Geri was a gifted vocalist. She performed in local musical theater and sang at many weddings.Her passion for music continued throughout her lifetime. She will also be remembered for her caring and loving spirit.
“Aunt Geri” will be lovingly remembered by her six nieces and nephews and their families, Suzanne Charles, Sallyanne Smith, Marybeth Swift, Ron Kerchner, Vince Orlando and Frank Orlando. She is also survived by several local cousins and cousins in Italy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 23, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 237 Franklin St, Reading, PA 19602. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
