Margaret M.  McDevitt
Margaret M. (Rehr) McDevitt, 99, formerly of Reading, passed away April 20, 2018, at Berkshire Center.

Her husband, Robert G. McDevitt, died on January 12, 2005.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Laura (Hakel) Rehr.

Margaret was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family. One of the best gifts she gave her children was love of our faith, our family, and the shore.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Margaret is survived by five children: Patricia A., wife of Patrick Holland, Muhlenberg Township; Mary M., wife of Christopher Huck, Reifton; Robert H. McDevitt, Wilmington, DE; Timothy N., husband of Holly McDevitt, Louisville, KY; and Louise M., wife of James O’Neill, North Hills, PA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Thomas and her granddaughter, Hannah O’Neill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 151 N 9th St, Reading, PA 19601 with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Contributions may be made to St. Paul’s R.C. Church at the above address. Edward J.
