Obituary for Bessie Nancy Motacki
Bessie Nancy Motacki, 96, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, in Reading Hospital.
She was the wife of Edmund Walter Motacki, who died March 9, 2004.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Marulli) Turrisi.
Bessie was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church.
She was employed as a sewing machine operator at Reading Clothing for 15 years and later worked at Custom Sports Wear, Reading, as a sewing machine operator for 23 years, retiring in 1981.
Bessie is survived by one daughter: Barbara A., wife of George Brizek, Sinking Spring. Three grandchildren: Michael Speck, Michele Zurawski, and Zachary Brizek; two step grandchildren, Michael and Jeffrey Brizek; and six great grandchildren also survive her.
She was predeceased by three brothers: Nick, Samuel, and Anthony Turrisi; and two sisters: Rose Sedoti and Grace Geiger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at 10 a.m., at Holy Rosary R.C. Church, 237 Franklin St, Reading, PA 19602. Entombment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Rosary R. C. Church at the above address. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
