Henry A. Ritter, 100, passed away June 10, 2018, in his Rittenhouse residence.

His wife, Irene B. (Wesolowski) Ritter passed away in 2001. They had celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Henry A. and Ellen (Erb) Ritter.

Henry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict.

Henry was a charter member of One United Church of Christ, Kenhorst.

He was a chemical worker for Firestone Tire and Rubber for 30 years retiring in 1980.

Henry enjoyed woodworking, watching Phillies and traveling with Firestone retirees.

Henry is survived by two children, Barry H. Ritter, companion of Carole Wolfe, Florida, and Victoria, wife of Raymond Ambrose, Cumru Twp. There are four grandchildren, Trevor, husband of Lavinia Ritter, Eric Ritter, companion of Liz Butler, Chad, husband of Kristen Hartzell and Melanie, wife of Ismael Cruz and eight great-grandchildren, Owen, Evan and Enzo Ritter; Alexandra Ritter; Gavyn and Owain Hartzell; Alex and Camron Cruz; and two step-grandchildren, Ashley and Olliver Miller. His companion, Geraldine "Gerry" Adams, Berks Heim also survives him.

He was predeceased by six siblings and his daughter-in-law, Rosemary Ritter.

Services will be Monday, June 18, 2018, at Laureldale Cemetery Chapel at 11 a.m. with burial to follow. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the chapel. Edward J.
