Obituary for M. Isabel Tidd
M. Isabel Tidd, 94, of Davenport, FL passed away on June 21, 2018, in Mountain Top Senior Care, Mountain Top, PA.
She was the wife of the late Randall Brown, whom she met while serving in the Red Cross during WWII, who passed away in 1974, and the late Lawrence "Bud" Tidd, who passed away in 2002.
Born on January 31, 1924, in Perry, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Marion (Karns) Slaughenhoupt.
She was a graduate of Parker High School in Parker, PA and went on to further her education at Kittanning Business School.
Isabel was a self-employed tax accountant and was the owner of Sacony Park Campground in Kutztown.
She enjoyed relaxing in Florida while enjoying the sunshine; she lived there for over 30 years. Isabel loved her little dog and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her sons: Neil Brown and wife, Kathy, Bethlehem; and David Brown and wife, Shirley, Muhlenberg Twp.; grandchildren: Jarrett Brown, Amy Wert, Krista Robertson, Christopher Brown, and Jennifer Sommer. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, step-children, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Isabel's memory to Victory Baptist Church, 1059 Victory Circle, Reading, PA 19605.
