Obituary for Donald M. Wilson Jr.
Donald M. "Wink" Wilson, Jr., 64, of Temple, passed away peacefully in his residence after a lengthy illness on April 13, 2018.
He was the beloved husband of Maryann T. (Bumeder) Wilson. They were married in October of 1994.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of Donald M., Sr., and Norma M. (Kantner) Wilson.
Wink was a 1971 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.
He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 for 45 years. He retired in 2008.
Wink was an avid bass fisherman, belonging to a local bass club, fishing many tournaments up and down the East Coast. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and his football team, the Eagles. He was happy to see they finally won the Superbowl this year.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his son, Deric M., husband of Kelly N. Wilson, York; and daughter Teresa M., wife of Derek Hess, Greensboro NC; he was a proud grandfather of four granddaughters, Cadence and Corinne Wilson; and Mackenzie and Zoey Hess; and sisters, Donna, wife of Dan Leffler, Muhlenberg Park; and Debra Wilson, Laureldale. He is also survived by several Nephews. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and his loyal companion, Caeli.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Wink's memory to Bayada Hospice at 100 Schaeffer St., Suite 4, Boyertown, Pa 19512 or COPD Foundation at 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Miami, FL 33134.
