Ethan G. Sandor McDonnell, 26, of Lancaster passed away April 7, 2020 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Tom and Maria, Owen and Aidan,
My heart goes out to you in this time of sorrow at the loss of your son and brother Ethan. I could scarcely believe the words as I read them on Saturday afternoon.
I remember painting the walls of your house before you moved in, especially the closet above the stairs in Ethan's bedroom, with the dark blue ceiling so that Tom could put glow-in-the-dark stars on it and make it a hidey-hole reading nook (for Ethan to read Harry Potter books, if I remember correctly?).
I can't recall a time that I didn't see Ethan with a smile on his face, always on his way to somewhere or something, never sitting still or just relaxing.
I hadn't seen him much these last few years since he graduated and moved out of the neighborhood, but when I did, he always took a moment to say hello and chat for a bit. A nice surprise for a young man to take the time to do that for an old fogey like me.

My sincere sympathy on your loss.

Daniel

Ennie...I still remember the day you were born. I was so excited for your arrival and your mom was a wreck. I wish we had stayed in touch more. While we hadn't spoken in years, my love for you was always there. You were a very special young man, who touched the lives of many. Rest in Peace. I pray for your mom and the rest of the family. God bless you, all.
