Obituary for Jane H. Bocchichio
Jane H. Bocchichio, 91, passed away March 25, 2018, in her Wyomissing residence surrounded by her family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Santo A. Bocchichio, with whom she celebrated 59 years of marriage before his passing.
Born in Martinsburg, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Martha (Hesen) Light.
Jane was a graduate of Reading High School.
She was formerly a 50 year member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Reading, and served as Blue Bird Leader for the Camp Fire Girls and treasurer for the Mother's Club. She was also Chairman for the Junior Catholic Women's Club and currently a member of St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.
Jane is survived by her 2 daughters, Karen Smith, Wyomissing; Melissa Hacker, Shillington. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Matt Hacker, Christopher Hacker, and Dr. Jane E. Cavanaugh; 2 great-grandchildren, Sarah J. Cavanaugh and Molly Cavanaugh; and son-in-law, William Polakovich, Summit Hill.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Nicky Polakovich and 3 siblings: Bruce Light, Max Light and Peggy Light.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 2, 2018 at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Reading, PA 19608 with the burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the church. Contributions in honor of Jane can be made to St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, 925 Centre Avenue, Reading, PA 19601 or St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, see address above. Edward J.
