Obituary

Phena L. (Churico) Morganti, 70, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away May 15, 2021, at St. Joseph Hospital.

She was the loving wife of Luigi Morganti.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Neva (Parsons) Churico.

She was a graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School.

Phena was employed as an office secretary through several family owned businesses including Morganti Mushroom Farms until her retirement in 2013.

Phena was a naturally gifted artist and musician who enjoyed playing the guitar and piano. She also loved singing the praises of the Lord with others at Trinity Bible Fellowship Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert L., husband of Robin Morganti, West Reading, James F. Morganti, Muhlenberg Township and her brother, David, husband of Susan Churico, Bernville.

Services will be Thursday, May 20, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 5153 Kutztown Rd., Temple with entombment to follow at the Chapel of St. George at Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.

Phena was such a dear friend. W e knew eachother since childhood, She was like an older sister to me and she was very religious.We remained close through the years and I am so glad that I had such a great friendship with Phena, I will miss her so much. My heart goes out to her husband, sons and brother and their families. We have lost a truly special person. Linda and Jim Ford
