Obituary for Ronald E. Reifsnyder

Ronald E. Reifsnyder, 64, of Topton, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in his residence.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Grant and Anna (Himmelreich) Reifsnyder.

He was employed as a diesel mechanic for many years by the former Chemical Lehman Tank Lines and Deka Battery.

Ronald was a volunteer with the Oley and lower Alsace Fire Companies and a member of the Blandon Fire Company.

He was an Army reserve veteran and a member of Frieden’s United Church of Christ, Oley.

Ronald loved NASCAR and loved to play Wii with the ladies at the Heilman House in Topton.

He is survived by two daughters: Jeanie Kauffman and her husband David of Mohrsville and Kelly Reifsnyder and her husband Dirk of Myerstown; two brothers: Grant “Sonny” Reifsnyder of Mohnton and Russel Reifsnyder of Reading; a sister, JoAnne Oxenford of Exeter; five grandchildren: Miranda, Maggie, Kourtney, Lucas, and Sean; and his former wife, Darlean (Katzin) Reifsnyder of Stony Creek. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Reifsnyder, and a grandson, Dirk “DJ” Reifsnyder, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main St., Oley with Rev. Gary A. Halstead officiating. Burial will follow in Spies Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
