Terry P. Price, 80, of Shillington, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Reading Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Loretta A. (Sweitzer) Price, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.

Born to the late Leroy F. and Ethel M. (Budden) Price, Terry graduated from Hamburg High School in 1959 and from McCann School of Business in 1960. He served his country honorably in the PA Air National Guard (1963-69).

For many years, Terry was vital to the growth and success of Snyder Insurance Agency. He was a Partner and Past President of the firm. In 1980 he earned the distinction of Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), the first year such a degree was available. Terry also served as a past secretary and past president of the Reading-Berks Insurance Agents Association.

He was a member of Kissinger's Church of Wyomissing.

His commitment to the community extended to his involvement in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Lodge #141 of Leesport. He was also a longtime member of the Hamburg Lions Club, serving as past president and zone chairman. He was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellow Award for outstanding service in recognition for his contributions.

Terry’s memory will be treasured by his wife, Loretta; their sons, Darren A. Price (wife Kelly) of Birdsboro and Brandon P. Price (wife Denise) of Douglassville; and grandchildren: Kylie, Julia, Connor and Joseph. Terry is also survived by his brother, Donald D. Price of Hamburg, and his sister, Brenda K. Henrich (wife of Daryll Henrich) of Tilden Twp.

A funeral service for Terry will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at the Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, with committal to follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the start of services.
