The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Alan Weitzman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Rabbi Weitzman's serving heart reached all the way to the small town of Jonesboro, Arkansas in March of 1998 during a time of community tragedy. A bond was estabIished between him and our community that endured as long as his health allowed him to travel the distance. I have had the honor and privilege to sing in the choir at Temple Israel for many years. In recent years we have missed his warm presence and his practical 3 point Derasha during High Holy Days. Rabbi will always hold a dear spot in our hearts.

Condolence: Alan had a tremendous impact on our lives. He was our rabbi, my mentor and friend. To say that I will miss him is an understatement I will always remember his presence, his wisdom, his love. I can still here his voice in my mind even as I write this. God's peace, my friend! Shalom!
